Chief Executive Officer
David Lewis has been the CEO or founding partner of 5 companies, one a 600-person family business, three successful startups in the areas of executive search, consulting and financial project execution, as well as a venture-capital-backed software development firm. His last startup scaled to a 300-person consulting and executive services firm in seven and a half years. During his tenure, the firm worked with companies ranging from Fortune 500 companies to venture-backed startups. He has deep functional expertise in creation and implementation of accountability systems, planning, finance, talent acquisition and development and key executive coaching. David holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Economics from Georgetown University in Washington DC.
Chief Operating Officer
Kelly has focused her career on driving company growth and enterprise value through Operations, Talent Acquisition Strategy, Human Capital Development and Process Improvement. She has been the founding member of 3 consulting firms, architecting and managing the initial setup and ongoing development of multiple areas of the business. Kelly has led a variety of special project initiatives in the areas of training and learning programs, compensation and incentive plan development, benchmarking, systems implementation, sales and marketing initiatives, and process re-engineering. In her current capacity, Kelly directly oversees the recruiting, HR, accounting, systems, client service, marketing and administrative functions of the business. Kelly is a Southern California native, graduated from Loyola Marymount University and was a recipient of the 2006 San Fernando Valley Business Journal's 40 under 40 award.

Shawn Spears has over 20 years of experience in the consulting business, developing trusted advisor relationships with C-Suite leaders in both Fortune 1000 and middle market companies in multiple markets. Shawn’s expertise includes solution development, new client relationship development, market expansion, and project management. Shawn has also held several senior management finance positions in companies including Universal Studios, Levi Strauss and Co, Arthur Andersen, Nissan Corp, and ClubCorp. Shawn holds a Master’s Degree in Finance/Economics from the University of Miami (FL) and a B.S. in Finance from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Travis has over 15 years of experience in corporate finance and strategy consulting helping clients navigate through complex financial issues and transactions. Travis currently serves as the Managing Director of Business Development at 8020 Consulting and focuses his time developing and maintaining client relationships with finance and accounting leaders in both middle market and Fortune 1000 companies. Prior to joining 8020 Consulting, he served as a Director of Finance at FTI Consulting specializing in providing turnaround, restructuring and transaction related services. His diverse industry experience includes entertainment, automotive, real estate, healthcare, gaming, food and beverage, financial services, and technology. His core competencies include strategic planning, financial modeling, forecasting and budgeting, corporate restructuring, due diligence, post-merger integration, valuation, financial statement preparation, and operational planning. He holds an M.S. in Finance and Accounting from the University of San Diego and a B.S. in Accountancy from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. He is an active CPA in California and a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor.

Erin’s career has been focused on many aspects of Human Capital including full cycle Talent Acquisition, to Employee Review Management. Her outgoing personality and expertise, as well as her ability to spot top finance and accounting talent, has contributed to her success in attracting the right people. In her current role, Erin is responsible for leading all aspects of the hiring process and as a member of the executive team helps manage and lead a variety of special projects related to employee review process revamp, employee training and development, new hire orientation, employee retention as well as a variety of other Human Capital, Talent Acquisition activities and Operational projects. Erin is a Southern California native, however spent 4 years in the Mid-West where she studied voice performance and music theory.

John is an Alumnus of Arthur Andersen and a CPA with over 25 years of diverse, hands-on financial and operational leadership experience in entertainment, technology, retail and distribution environments, including CFO, VP of Finance, and Controllership roles at companies ranging in size from early start-up through middle market as well as Fortune 500. John also has strong international management experience with time spent in the UK, Germany, India, and the Middle East. In fact, he managed global operations teams including the formation and expansion of India offshore operations and expansion of a company into the European market. Across his career, John has worked very closely with VC firms in the raising of multiple rounds of financing and negotiation of lines of credit with banks and he has helped lead companies through the successful exit / sale process.

While at 8020 Consulting, either as an interim CFO, project manager for multiple system implementations or due diligence support for acquisitions, Michael has helped companies in a variety of industries including Advertising, Technology (sales automation), Restaurant Franchising, Distribution and Payment Processing. Michael is a CPA, holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from Indiana University Northwest and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

He is an Ernst & Young alumnus who was Manager of Finance for Disney’s Network Television Division before he moved on to Director of Financial Planning & Analysis for Korn/Ferry Futurestep. As a consultant, Scott has performed system implementations, conducted business process re-engineering, created forecasting and budgeting models, and managed internal and external financial reporting. He has filled the role of Interim CFO for several companies, managing them through successful acquisition as well as post–merger accounting integration for the acquiring companies. Prior to joining 8020 Consulting, Devon was Executive Director of Warner Home Entertainment’s Acquisitions group overseeing title acquisitions and providing financial support for film productions. Devon has also held high profile positions at Disney and CUNA Mutual Group in a finance and software development capacity. Angela began her career at Citigroup in the Global Corporate and Investment Bank where she spent several years working on deals for a diverse group of Fortune 500 companies. Most recently, Jorge was a Transaction Advisory Services Director at KPMG and PwC, where he advised companies on M&A transactions, providing sell-side and buy-side due diligence and pre/post transaction accounting support. Since joining 8020 Consulting, Jorge has performed or overseen all accounting and financial reporting processes (including SEC filings), participated on several stages of acquisitions and divestitures, and tackled a host of complex technical accounting issues, including GAAP conversions. George has more than 12 years of digital marketing and consulting experience with growth-focused organizations. As the Director of Marketing at 8020 Consulting, he guides the marketing efforts of the firm and serves as a member of the corporate team. Prior to joining 8020, he was a Vice President at Marketri, where he designed, implemented and directed marketing programs for a variety of B2B clients. He also has experience in a variety of content creation, digital marketing and copywriting roles in a wide range of industries. He holds a B.A. in Public Relations and minor in English from Penn State University at University Park, and he has an M.A. in Writing from Rowan University.

An Arthur Andersen alumnus, Corey has held a variety of leadership positions in companies such as The American National Red Cross, National Geographic Channels International and The Music Center of LA County. Prior to that, he was an Assistant Managing Director for the Cisneros Group of Companies focusing on emerging business opportunities across North America and Latin America. Greg received his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University and his Master of Business Administration degree from New York University’s Stern School of Business holding specializations in Financial Management, Leadership and Entrepreneurship.

Her focus has been to combine the day-to-day management of finance, accounting and treasury departments with various transactions / strategic initiatives including capital raises, debt refinancing, due diligence and asset sales. She has led the redesign of management and accounting systems, overseen financial restatements and developed new financial reporting and financial modeling. Danelle has taken direct CFO roles at two early stage CPG companies and with 8020 Consulting, Treasurer for Bolthouse Farms. Other consulting roles have included companies of varying size and industry, from being Controller of a $100-million specialty biopharmaceutical development company to Director of Reporting & Consolidations for an $8 billion hospitality company. An alumnus of PwC and FTI Consulting, Danelle holds an M.B.A. from the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University, and a BA in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Additionally Sangita has significant experience in designing and implementing internal controls, internal audit and financial accounting. Sangita holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting and a Masters of Business Administration from Cal Poly and a Masters of Taxation from USC.

She graduated with honors as well as served as President for the honors Accounting club, Beta Alpha Psi. Heidi is originally from Northern California and has lived in Los Angeles for over 15 years.

Anthony graduated from California State University, Northridge with Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration – Accounting Theory & Practice and Chemistry. Jennifer is senior-level Finance professional with over 20 years of finance and accounting experience and over 15 years in the consumer product manufacturing industry. Prior to joining 8020 Consulting, she was Head of Finance for Buscemi LLC, a luxury shoe brand. At Buscemi, Jennifer led the implementation of NetSuite as the complete system of record within 4 months. Prior to Buscemi, Jennifer was the Corporate Controller of Dogswell, a premium pet treat manufacturer. She joined Dogswell as part of a turnaround team post restructuring, which was successfully turned around and sold within 1 year. The majority of Jennifer’s career was spent at JAKKS Pacific, a $900 million publicly traded toy design and manufacturing company, where she was Vice President of Finance. At JAKKS, Jennifer was head of the FP&A and Royalties departments and acted as Interim Controller for over a year. Her work included both internal and external financial reporting, royalty audits and preparing Board of Director presentations. She has expertise in building complex financial models, strategic planning, motivating the finance team, and improving efficiency. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics with an Accounting emphasis from UCSB, and MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Originally from Australia, Michael has more than 14 years of finance and accounting experience. He started his career as an auditor before moving to private accounting and working across various industries including insurance, healthcare, mining and private equity. Prior to joining 8020 he was the CFO for an insurance company based in Fiji, leading a team of 15 throughout the Pacific. In 2017, Michael moved to the United States, where he worked as a consultant before taking on a role as VP of Finance with a private equity backed dermatology firm in San Francisco. His experience includes developing systems and procedures, managing and supporting external audits, financial planning and analysis and financial reporting. Michael earned his Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Queensland in Australia, majoring in Accounting and Finance. He is also a certified Chartered Accountant (CPA equivalent).

Brad hails from the great state of Tennessee and holds a B.A. from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Following his graduation, he relocated to Los Angeles where he served as a Senior Account Executive for one of the top ranking digital marketing firms. During that time, Brad was in charge of client management as well as training and managing a growing sales team. Brad is a seasoned professional when it comes to client relations and effective strategy building for higher ROI. When he is not at 8020 Consulting, Brad can be found on the golf course, hiking, or spending time with his wife and newborn.

Chona brings over 25 years of experience in accounting, finance, and project management in her role as a consultant at 8020 Consulting. Prior to consulting, she got her start as an auditor at Ernst & Young, followed by two stints at the Walt Disney Company where she held accounting and financial reporting roles, culminating as a Director in Corporate Controllership. Chona was Assistant Controller at Virgin Megastores, before returning to Disney. At Disney, Chona became a super user for 2 out of the 5 ERP implementation waves at the company. At Amgen, she had the opportunity to further expand her super-user role when the company rolled out their ERP implementation in the U.S. In her International Accounting role at Amgen, Chona project managed numerous international expansions in Asia and Latin America. She rotated into Corporate Audit followed by her role in Finance Integration for Amgen acquisitions and organic expansions in several countries.

Prior to joining 8020 Tennille served as a Consultant, working with a variety of clients including iPayment Inc, Warner Brothers, DC Entertainment and The Center for Autism and Related Disorders and held various Controllership, Financial Manager and Technical Accounting lead roles. Her experience covers operational accounting, financial reporting (full set financials and MD&A), technical accounting (revenue recognition, debt accounting, business combinations, asset impairment) and even compliance reporting (debt covenant calculations and reporting). Tennille has serviced clients in the United States and South Africa (which applies International Accounting Standards).

Jerry brings 22 years of accounting and finance experience in multiple industries, including financial services, real estate, hospitality, and government defense. Jerry is a CPA and started his career with Arthur Andersen. Prior to joining 8020 he served as Director of Accounting and Reporting for KBR’s government services business unit. He has extensive experience in financial reporting, FP&A, M&A support, financial modeling, financial systems integration, cashflow forecasting, managing internal and external audits, SOX/internal controls, and GL systems conversion. Jerry holds a Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of North Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bowling Green with a dual major in Accounting and Finance.

Doyle has more than 20 years of progressive experience across finance and accounting. His experience spans the advertising, consumer products, entertainment, technology and hospitality industries. Reflecting his eclectic background, Doyle’s core competencies include FP&A, budgeting, modeling, systems implementation, treasury operations, controllership, IFRS accounting and financial close. During Doyle’s career, he has managed large, remote teams in leadership positions such as Director of General Accounting at the Walt Disney Company and Director of Corporate Accounting & Treasury at Princess Cruises. Doyle holds a B.A. in Business Economics with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Ben comes from a media & entertainment background in finance and analysis, but also has entrepreneurial, digital, and tech experience. His expertise includes financial planning & analysis, forecasting/budgeting, financial modeling, process improvement, cost controlling, and data-driven strategy research. Ben has worked with a diverse set of media companies, such as MGM Studios, Red Bull Media House and Awesomeness/Viacom Digital Studios. As a consultant, Ben has implemented solutions such as streamlining FP&A reporting and consolidation (with and without dedicated planning software), re configuring cash management, cash flow analysis, & reconciliation, improving variance analysis and action recommendation, redesigning planning processes and modules to streamline business planning, and producing strategic evaluation of existing and proposed lines of business. Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and in Biology from Pomona College.

Vinay is a CPA with 15+ years of diverse finance and accounting experience across many industries. He is a PWC alumnus who has held leadership roles at a range of organizations from startup and mid-sized to large Fortune 500 companies with experience in Audit, Accounting and Finance. These companies have included Marquis Jet Partners, The New York Times, PwC, Bloomberg LP and Physique 57. Vinay has most recently provided leadership including financial reporting, FP&A modeling, managing external audits, revenue recognition and managing cash flow to an entire Accounting and Finance department. Vinay holds both a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting as well as a Master’s in Accounting from Boston College.

Jennifer is a Southern California native and holds a bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from California State University, Northridge. While in school, she served as an officer for her club, a student intern for the dietetic center, and a writer for the VA dietetic newsletter. Jennifer has previously worked in dietary administration for over four years in a regionally top ranked hospital. She also spent time working as an Executive Assistant in the entertainment industry.

Since starting his career in accounts payable to his current position as the Corporate Accounting Manager, Josh has had the opportunity to work in a diverse set of industries as varied as legal services, property management, securities, manufacturing, non-profit, and market research. He has been involved in responding to the needs of external auditors, creating financial statements, and documentation of accounting procedures. Josh is a CPA with a degree in Finance from California State University, Northridge.

Outside of her 8020 career, Shawn sits on the Board of Directors for a Non-Profit Organization Sisters of the Dove and is a natural entrepreneur, owning her own skin care product line as well as making signature homemade cheesecakes for nationwide distribution. Shawn enjoys doing weekend Pop-up Shops, planning her family reunion of over 150 people and traveling across the country.
