It’s rewarding to be able to help in different positions and teams within the same company. Due to a period of high turnover, the Client’s needs and priorities changed rapidly, and it was exciting to be able to help throughout the Finance, Accounting and FP&A groups.
It is very important to me to be able to adapt and be flexible in today’s high-paced business environment. This project involved collaboration with different departments within the organization; interaction with suppliers, consultants and audit teams; education and application of different financial systems and reporting tools and management of staff. I find it gratifying to collaborate with different colleagues and teams, and it’s fulfilling to share my expertise with other professionals while also learning from their unique skillsets and perspectives.

About Carlos
Carlos has more than 20 years of experience in finance, accounting and operational leadership roles, including positions as CFO and Controller, across multiple industries such as beauty, manufacturing, e-commerce and entertainment. Throughout his career, Carlos has developed and mentored strong finance and accounting teams, implemented systems and created processes and internal controls for start-ups and well established companies. He has extensive experience in reporting, forecasting, budgeting, cash management, due diligence, SOX compliance and financial analysis. He began his career with Deloitte in accounting outsourcing services and moved to audit where he served a variety of client industries. Prior to joining 8020 Consulting, he was CFO at Sultra Corporation and before that, Director of Finance at ghd Professional North America. Carlos holds a B.S. in Accounting from Universidad Tecnológica de México.
