As a consultant, you can make a more significant impact when you are fully embraced by the Client’s team. While the goal is to provide a service, my goal is always to be a seamless asset to any organization, even if it’s temporary.
On a recent deployment, I enjoyed working with everyone from the accounting teams to the CEO to the receptionist. I was treated as a part of the company. This helped to quickly establish trust and comfort to work at a high level together to reach the desired goals. The intense and urgent nature of the audit project meant long hours, many moving parts and a steep learning curve of the industry and the accounting practices.
Great communication, an open-door policy and the support of the VP Controller made everything run smoothly and efficiently for the duration of the project.
