On Driving Toward Goals

While preparing my client for an initial public offering, I developed several new external relationships. Working directly with a client is always integral, but in this project, I was able to engage with other financial professionals and work as a team to achieve the goals set forth in the engagement.

Consulting work can sometimes be a solitary pursuit. In this case, it was necessary to go outside of the company and engage with accountants, valuation experts, insurance agents and legal counsel. It was inspiring and exciting to search for and place each piece of the puzzle to create the right mix of skills and expertise. Ultimately, leading a successful team was the best way to ensure we achieved our goals, and it also provided me with a very fulfilling experience of delivering the best result for my client.
